Regular maintenance is essential to preserve the appearance and long-term performance of SOL-OUT fabrics. We recommend rinsing the material with clean, cold water on a monthly basis to prevent dirt buildup and reduce the risk of deep-set stains.
Under normal environmental conditions, a thorough deep cleaning is recommended every 2–3 years, or sooner should visible soil accumulation occur.
Please find the recommended cleaning instructions for the fabric below. The cleaning process can be performed while the fabric is installed on its frame or after it has been removed.
Cleaning Procedure:
1. Remove Debris: Use a soft-bristle brush to remove loose dirt.
2. Initial Rinse: Rinse the fabric thoroughly with clean water.
3. Apply Cleaning Solution: Prepare a mixture of mild soap and water (such as a gentle dishwashing liquid).
4. Scrub: Clean the surface using a sponge or soft-bristle brush.
5. Soak: Allow the solution to penetrate the fabric for a short duration.
6. Final Rinse: Rinse thoroughly to ensure all soap residue is removed.
7. Dry: Allow the fabric to air dry completely before further use.
For persistent issues, such as oil-based stains or roof runoff marks, a concentrated stain remover may be applied locally as required.
Please find the maintenance and deep cleaning instructions for SOL-OUT fabrics below. While the fabric itself is mildew-resistant, growth may occur on accumulated surface debris. Regular cleaning is necessary to preserve the material's integrity.
Deep Cleaning Solution:
- 1 cup household bleach
- ¼ cup mild soap
- 1 gallon clean water
Cleaning Procedure:
1. Mix the solution according to the recommended ratio.
2. Apply the solution to the affected area and allow it to soak for 15 minutes.
3. Gently scrub with a soft-bristle brush.
4. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all residue.
5. Allow the fabric to air dry completely.
6. Repeat the process if necessary.
Important Notice:
Avoid applying bleach solutions to the reverse side of fabrics with specialty coatings. For coated fabrics, apply treatment carefully to the surface only and rinse immediately to protect the fabric's performance and coating.
